Here you can upload your presentations in .ppt or .pptx – format as well as embedded videos as single files.
Please note the information you have already received from the congress organizer, which we have summarized for you on this page.
Please make sure to label your material to be uploaded so that each file can be assigned to the speaker (YourName_ShortNameTitle).
You have the following options to submit your presentation.
Via UPLOAD in advance
We look forward to receiving your presentations, gladly up to 3 hours before your scheduled presentation via the button here on the website. Nevertheless, we ask you to check your presentation technically together with us at the media acceptance desk on site before your scheduled time slot.
About on-site media reception on location
Our media reception distributes your presentations to the rooms planned for your presentation. Here we ensure that your presentation runs smoothly from a technical point of view. We check compatibility directly with you, and our colleagues will help you in word and deed with any problems that may arise.
In the media reception, a Windows PC is available for you to make your own changes to the content and adaptation of your presentation.
If you would like to integrate special program points in your presentation that deviate from PowerPoint and require additional technical requirements, please send a short email to hallo@visix-group.com with a clear reference to the name of the speaker and the relevant slot according to the schedule.
Please create your presentation with a current Office (Office365 e.g.) and save it as yourName_ShortNameTitle.ppt.
Please save the PPT and, if applicable, video material on your own storage medium, which you can hand over to Media Acceptance for processing. Reading from the following media is possible (USB sticks and hard drives), which are Windows compatible (FAT / NTFS formatted). We also offer a MacBook, please see the information below.
If you use a Mac and work with Keynote, we ask you to convert it yourself in advance as .ppt or .pptx and if necessary check the function once. Our presentation laptops are Windows computers, we check of course also here the compatibility and have the possibility to convert the Keynote, but under this circumstance we can not guarantee a smooth function.
When creating a presentation, make sure to use a 16:9 template. When playing out 4:3 presentations, a large part of the image is not used. The later conversion to a 16:9 format can result in incorrect formatting of the content (e.g. round objects are then oval).
Please use fonts from the standard of Windows in the best case. If the use of additional fonts cannot be avoided, please make sure to use the „Embed fonts in file“ function with the „Embed all characters“ option (under Tools – Save options) of PowerPoint when saving. If this is not possible, please also upload the fonts used via the upload area, stating your name and the short title of the presentation.
When creating presentations, keep in mind that although your presentation will be shown on a large screen, this will not improve the readability of small-scale content. At best, follow the rule of thumb: the less there is on a slide, the better it can be perceived. Also, free space on a slide does not have to be felt at all costs.e, when playing out 4:3 presentations, a large part of the image is not used. Please use videos with h.264 codec in MP4 container/file format with max. 20 Mbit data rate (Note: This is the standard of e.g. YouTube videos & cell phone videos). Make sure that the videos are embedded in the PPT.
To do this, do the following:
On the Insert tab, click Video, and then click Movie from File. In the Movie to Insert dialog box, select the file you want to insert. If you want to embed a video on the slide, simply click Insert.
If embedding doesn’t work for any number of reasons, feel free to give your video an assignable name and upload it via the Upload section as well, or save the video to your external media in addition to the presentation.
The standard setup does not include a keyboard or mouse on the lectern. A presenter is located at the lectern for controlling your lecture and starting videos.
Please also note that there is no media acceptance in the individual lecture rooms.
